Its focus is on choreography, attitude, and the communal energy of the performance.

Factoids & Trivia

• Released in 1994, the video accompanied Brandy's debut single and helped introduce her publicly at age 15.

• Brandy later recalled that the shoot was especially meaningful because many of her friends appeared in it, along with her younger brother Ray J.

• The brief dance sequence Brandy performed with Ray J became one of the video's most recognizable moments.

• The choreography was associated with Frank Gatson, who worked with Brandy during the early stage of her career.

• The video's casual clothes, outdoor location, and group-centered presentation established the tomboyish image that became closely linked with Brandy's first album era.

• A separate 1995 remix video featured MC Lyte, Queen Latifah, and Yo-Yo. Shot in a more stylized studio setting, it was later nominated for Best Rap Video at the 1995 MTV Video Music Awards.
