Synopsis

In a woodland setting, Slow Magic appears in a colorful animal mask, moving between solitary play and energetic performance. Surrounded by trees, the masked figure drums, dances, runs and interacts with the landscape as the electronic track gradually intensifies. The video shifts from dreamy, loosely choreographed images to increasingly physical bursts of movement, culminating in a chaotic rush through the forest and vigorous strikes against the trees. Its handmade, childlike atmosphere mirrors Slow Magic's imaginary-friend persona.

Factoids & Trivia

• The video was released online on April 17, 2012, ahead of Slow Magic's debut album, "▲", which arrived later that month.

• "Youths" is the fourth track on the eight-song album. The record was first associated with Slow Magic's independent Bandcamp activity before receiving a release through the Portuguese label LebensStrasse Records.

• The production was created by the Irish video collective Feel Good Lost, whose work was known for atmospheric, experimental imagery and a tactile, handmade quality.

• Slow Magic's colorful animal mask was central to the project's early visual identity. The anonymity allowed the music and character to take precedence over a conventional artist portrait.
