Synopsis

Shot largely from a first-person perspective, the video turns "Searching for Some Beautiful" into an intimate, disorienting journey through city streets and private spaces. The unseen protagonist moves through a series of fleeting encounters, restless travel, and emotionally charged moments, with the camera acting as the viewer's eyes. Sadistik appears less as a conventional performer than as the center of a fractured mood piece, matching the song's melancholy search for beauty within confusion, isolation, and self-destructive impulses.

Factoids & Trivia

• The official video was released in March 2009, following the 2008 release of Sadistik's debut album, "The Balancing Act."

• Bryan Campbell has said that the video was inspired in part by The Prodigy's "Smack My Bitch Up," particularly its use of an immersive first-person point of view.

• The production was handled by Seattle company Fueled Creative. Bret Nielsen served as executive producer, while Stefan Scherperel was the director of photography.

• The song was produced by Emancipator and includes backing vocals by Ashley Leffler.

• Sadistik recalled writing much of the song's first verse while driving from Seattle. He repeatedly played the instrumental and dictated lines to his girlfriend at the time so they could be written down.
