Synopsis

After discovering his Hebrew heritage, Moses is cast out of Egypt by Pharaoh Ramses, his former friend and rival. Guided by a growing sense of destiny, he returns to challenge the empire and free the enslaved Hebrews. Their escape becomes a perilous journey through war, famine, and a series of devastating plagues before they reach the Red Sea.

• The production combined studio work in the United Kingdom with location shooting in Spain, Morocco, and the Canary Islands. Filming lasted 74 days.

• The Red Sea sequences were filmed on Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands, whose rugged coastline stood in for the ancient setting.

• More than 1,500 visual-effects shots were created for the film, including digital crowds and the plagues of hail, locusts, and frogs.
