Factoids & Trivia

• "Zweiohrkuecken" is the sequel to the 2007 romantic comedy "Keinohrhasen," also known in English as "Rabbit Without Ears." The title reverses the original film's central animal image, changing the rabbit without ears into a chick with two ears.

• Principal photography took place from May 19 to July 20, 2009, in Berlin, Paretz, Potsdam, and Leba on Poland's Baltic coast.

• The title character returns as part of the film's recurring craft motif. A scene in which Ludo creates a two-eared chick was confirmed during production.

• Several members of the Schweiger family appear in the film. One daughter reportedly chose not to return because she did not want the increased public attention that came with appearing on screen.

• The film runs for 124 minutes and received the German Film Rating Board's "wertvoll" distinction, generally translated as "valuable."
