Synopsis
Four adult orphans receive mysterious invitations to visit a chocolate factory, a wizarding school, and a fantastical land hidden inside a wardrobe. Their journey through "Gnarnia" brings them face to face with a ruthless White Bitch, a flamboyant pirate, and a collection of familiar fantasy figures. Along the way, the group must unite to defeat evil and claim their promised destiny.

- The film combines parodies of several recent blockbusters, including The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, Harry Potter, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Da Vinci Code, X-Men, and Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle.
- The White Castle joke references Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle, in which Kal Penn previously appeared.
- An uncensored version of the scene involving the woman outside the wardrobe contributed to an initial R rating from the MPAA. The filmmakers substituted a bikini version for the theatrical cut, allowing the movie to receive a PG-13 rating. The original material appeared on the unrated DVD.
- The high school used for the Fighting Wolverines scenes was also used as Rydell High School in Grease.
