Synopsis

At a Los Angeles juvenile detention camp, probation officer Sean Porter forms a football team from teenagers divided by gang rivalries and hardened by difficult lives. Through demanding practices and competitive games, the players learn discipline, teamwork, and mutual respect. As the Mustangs pursue a place in the playoffs, the program forces them to confront the loyalties and violence that shaped them.
