Synopsis

A recently released convict known as O2 is trying to rebuild his life and reconnect with his young son. When the boy is kidnapped after O2's car is stolen, O2 joins forces with Coco, a streetwise woman caught in the same criminal underworld. Their desperate rescue mission becomes a violent flight through Los Angeles, pursued by both gang members and police.

• The child playing Junior is the son of the film's writer-director.

• Arnold Vosloo filmed scenes as one of the detectives, but his character and storyline were removed from the finished cut. The deleted material was included in full on the DVD's deleted-scenes menu.

• Principal photography took place in Los Angeles during November 2005.

• The film's action sequences were shot with multiple cameras, creating a large amount of footage for editor Terilyn A. Shropshire to organize.

• Released by Rogue Pictures on June 23, 2006, the film opened in fourth place at the US box office and eventually earned more than $21 million domestically.

• The film was nominated for Outstanding Hip-Hop Movie at the BET Hip-Hop Movie Awards.
