Synopsis

Jack Stanfield, a Seattle bank security executive, is forced to turn his own anti-fraud system against his employer when criminals take his wife and children hostage. Ordered to transfer $100 million into offshore accounts, Jack secretly looks for a way to expose the scheme, protect his family, and avoid being framed for the theft.

• The project was originally developed under the title "The Wrong Element."

• Most of the film was shot in Vancouver, British Columbia, which stands in for Seattle. Vancouver International Airport was also used for airport scenes.

• The story's central technology was designed to feel grounded in an ordinary corporate environment rather than presenting computer systems as exaggerated science fiction.

• Harrison Ford and Paul Bettany performed some of their own stunt work during the fight sequences.

• During filming at Vancouver International Airport, Ford was briefly difficult for the crew to locate because he was sitting on a baggage conveyor outside the set while talking on his cell phone.

• The Stanfields' dog, Rusty, was played by a mixed-breed terrier named Boomer. The animal was monitored under the American Humane Society's "No Animals Were Harmed" program.
