Synopsis

Drifter Hiram Coburn agrees to protect young Chip Anderson after the boy inherits land coveted by ruthless criminals. As Coburn escorts Chip toward safety, he is also pursued by Sonny, a gunfighter determined to force him into marrying Sonny's sister. Their journey unfolds through brawls, comic schemes, saloon intrigue, and a struggle over the property's surprising hidden value.

• The film was released in Italy on March 31, 1972, and in West Germany on June 9, 1972.

• It was produced as an Italian, Spanish, and French co-production and filmed around Almeria, including the Tabernas desert locations of Salinillas, Rambla Indalecio, and Western Leone.

• Some location material was shot on the ranch set used for the McBain family sequences in Sergio Leone's Once Upon a Time in the West.

• The screenplay was written by Rafael Azcona, while the story originated with Ernesto Gastaldi. Gastaldi later recalled that he and Maurizio Lucidi developed the story in about three hours while on the beach at Sperlonga.

• The film followed the major success of They Call Me Trinity and Trinity Is Still My Name, giving Bud Spencer another leading spaghetti-western vehicle during the peak of his popularity.

• Luis Bacalov composed the score and co-wrote the title song, "Can Be Done," with Sergio Bardotti. The song was performed by Rocky Roberts.

• The German market received both a relatively serious dub and a later comedy-oriented dub. German editions were also substantially shorter than the Italian release, which ran approximately 109 minutes.
