With Dumas' help, Costello tries to protect Wendy and uncover the conspiracy behind the theft.

Factoids & Trivia

  • Released in 1991, this 88-minute television film served as the first installment of the twelve-part *Extralarge* series, also known in Germany as *Zwei Supertypen in Miami*.
  • The story establishes the nickname "Extralarge": cartoonist Dumas chooses Costello as the model for a comic-book character after studying the detective's distinctive appearance.
  • The production was an international television co-production involving Italy, Germany, and the United States. Much of the series was filmed in and around Miami.
  • Costello's office was filmed at 1116 Ocean Drive in Miami Beach, a location that gives the series an immediately recognizable South Beach setting.
  • Giuseppe Pedersoli, Bud Spencer's son, was among the principal creative forces behind the series and helped develop its scripts and production.
