Synopsis

Five years after her young daughter is found murdered, Claudia receives a phone call from someone claiming to be the girl. Desperate for answers, she joins forces with an ex-police officer and an occult journalist. Their investigation leads to a secretive cult known as the Nameless, whose beliefs connect the child's death to a terrifying philosophy of evil and corruption.

• The film is adapted from British horror writer Ramsey Campbell's 1981 novel *The Nameless*.

• It marked Jaume Balaguero's feature-film debut. He also adapted Campbell's novel for the screenplay.

• Filming took place in Barcelona in 1998, with the city providing much of the film's bleak, urban atmosphere.

• The Spanish title is *Los sin nombre*, literally meaning "The Nameless" or "Those Without a Name." The English release title is *The Nameless*.

• The film won the 1999 Melies d'Or for Best European Fantastic Film after receiving recognition at the Sitges Film Festival.
