Synopsis

Dreamy Paula leads a dull suburban life with her insurance-salesman husband, Edgar. At a school reunion, she reconnects with Max, her former sweetheart, and discovers that he is in trouble with Hamburg's criminal underworld. Determined to save him, Paula is drawn into a dangerous adventure that transforms her from an inhibited provincial housewife into an unexpectedly tough and resourceful woman.

• The film had the working title Cowgirl Wanted before production.
