Synopsis

Domino Harvey, a former fashion model, reinvents herself as a bounty hunter in Los Angeles. Working with a seasoned team, she becomes involved in a dangerous scheme involving stolen millions, rival criminals, and a desperate family's need for medical help. Told through Domino's interrogation and shifting recollections, the story blends real events with heightened fiction and a deliberately unreliable perspective.

• The film was inspired by the real Domino Harvey, the daughter of actor Laurence Harvey and model Paulene Stone, who became a bounty hunter in Los Angeles.

• Tony Scott first encountered Harvey's story in a 1994 newspaper article. He later met her, interviewed her about her life and work, and acquired the film rights.

• The project went through several screenplay drafts. Early versions were rejected because they treated Harvey's life as a conventional biographical story; Richard Kelly's final screenplay took a more stylized and fictionalized approach.

• The movie openly signals its loose relationship with reality with the phrase "Based on a true story... sort of."
