Synopsis
After a heavily armed raid on the Firefly family home, siblings Otis and Baby escape and reunite with Captain Spaulding. The fugitives take hostages while fleeing across the American Southwest, but Sheriff Wydell pursues them with a personal grudge and an increasingly ruthless approach to justice. Their violent journey becomes a collision between criminal brutality and revenge-driven law enforcement.

- Karen Black did not return as Mother Firefly after requesting a higher salary. Leslie Easterbrook took over the role.
- Professional wrestler Chris Jericho auditioned for Rondo, but the filmmakers ultimately cast Danny Trejo.
- The production used a combination of practical effects and digital effects. Direct contact between weapons or injuries and skin was often completed digitally, while many effects involving clothing were created practically.
