Synopsis

Former minor-league pitcher Morris Buttermaker takes a quick coaching job with the Bears, an inept Little League team assembled from overlooked and difficult players. Facing a wealthy rival squad and its smug coach, Buttermaker gradually discovers that winning is less important than giving the children confidence, discipline, and a reason to play together.
