Synopsis

After master thief Max Burdett retires to a luxurious life in the Bahamas with his partner Lola, FBI agent Stan Lloyd arrives convinced that Max is planning one final robbery. Max insists he is finished with crime, but the arrival of a valuable diamond and Stan's relentless pursuit soon disrupt their peaceful escape.

• The film was shot primarily in the Bahamas, including Nassau's Atlantis resort and the Old Fort Bay Club. Additional beach and Los Angeles scenes were filmed in California.

• Principal photography took place from October 27, 2003, through February 15, 2004.

• Pierce Brosnan and Brett Ratner had hoped to work together on another James Bond film. When that collaboration did not happen, they pursued this project instead.

• The reported production budget was approximately $57 million to $60 million. Worldwide theatrical grosses were about $62.7 million.

• New Line Cinema released the film in the United States on November 12, 2004.
