Synopsis

Mary "Lola" Steppe moves from New York City to suburban New Jersey, where she feels exiled from the glamorous life she believes she deserves. At her new school, Lola competes with popular student Carla Santini for the lead in a production of Pygmalion. When Lola's favorite rock band announces its final concert, she and her new friend Ella set out for New York, taking increasingly dramatic risks to attend.
