Synopsis

Preteen Kelly struggles with dyslexia, school, and an uneasy relationship with her divorced mother and stepfather in Los Angeles. Sent to live with her biological father, a bush pilot in Alaska, she initially repeats her rebellious behavior. Gradually, the wilderness, local community, and guidance from her father's longtime assistant help Kelly discover confidence, responsibility, and a renewed sense of belonging.
