Synopsis

A Lake Tahoe mother discovers her teenage son's lover dead outside the family home. Determined to protect her son and preserve her family's stability, she hides the body and tries to satisfy a blackmail demand. Her increasingly desperate choices draw her into a tense criminal underworld, forcing her to confront how far she will go for the people she loves.

• The film is loosely adapted from Elisabeth Sanxay Holding's 1947 suspense novel The Blank Wall, which was previously filmed as Max Ophuls' 1949 noir The Reckless Moment.

• Although the story is set around Lake Tahoe and Reno, the production was filmed in the North Lake Tahoe area, including Tahoma, Kings Beach, Crystal Bay, and Incline Village.
