Synopsis

Before they become the familiar Bedrock husbands, confirmed bachelors Fred Flintstone and Barney Rubble travel from Bedrock to Rock Vegas, where they meet Wilma Slaghoople and Betty O'Shale. Romance develops during a chaotic vacation filled with gambling, celebrity impersonations, family pressure, and the schemes of wealthy playboy Chip Rockefeller.

• The film is a standalone prequel to The Flintstones (1994), depicting how Fred and Barney met Wilma and Betty.

• The prequel approach was developed after John Goodman declined to reprise his role as Fred Flintstone from the first film.

• The title is a Stone Age variation on Elvis Presley's song and 1964 musical film Viva Las Vegas.

• Ann-Margret performs the theme song, a revised version of "Viva Las Vegas." She had previously appeared in the original animated series as Ann-Margrock in the episode "Ann-Margrock Presents."
