Synopsis

Following Superman's apparent death, Batman and Wonder Woman recruit Aquaman, Cyborg, and the Flash to confront Steppenwolf, an ancient conqueror seeking three powerful Mother Boxes. As the heroes struggle to work together, they must overcome personal doubts and revive the world's hope before Earth is transformed into the invader's new domain.

• The film was conceived as a major crossover bringing together several heroes previously introduced in other DC films.

• Production underwent extensive rewrites and reshoots during post-production after the original filmmaker stepped away following a family tragedy. The finished theatrical version reflects contributions from two distinct creative approaches.

• Henry Cavill was filming Mission: Impossible - Fallout during additional photography and was contractually required to keep a mustache. It was digitally removed from his Justice League scenes, creating a widely discussed visual-effects issue.

• The theatrical release used a new score by Danny Elfman, replacing the score originally developed by Tom Holkenborg, also known as Junkie XL.
