Synopsis

Pharmacist Arne Steinberg reluctantly buys a Los Angeles house from his best friend, only to discover that its previous owner, novelist Annie Ashland, died there under suspicious circumstances. When Annie's former roommate insists the death was murder rather than suicide, Arne joins her investigation, uncovering troubling secrets hidden behind the home's suburban respectability.
