Synopsis

After surviving a car accident that kills her mother, four-year-old Ponette struggles to understand death and accept that her mother will not return. Moving between relatives, school, religious explanations, and the imaginative world of childhood, she clings to the hope of reconnecting with her mother. Her grief unfolds through stubborn questions, private rituals, and attempts to make sense of an adult reality she cannot yet accept.
