Synopsis

A disillusioned American teenager living on the streets of Europe joins S*P*A*R*K, a traveling collective of runaways, punks, and outsiders. Led by the charismatic Harry, the group moves through several countries while recruiting vulnerable young people. As the journey continues, the collective's idealism is tested by grief, emotional instability, and the consequences of living without conventional rules or security.

• Mouth To Mouth was the first feature written and directed by Canadian filmmaker Alison Murray.

• The film was shot on location in England, France, Germany, and Portugal, giving its road story a genuinely international production.

• Atom Egoyan served as an executive producer.

• The performers playing members of the street collective shaved their heads for the film. Because the hair changes could not be recreated easily, production was filmed in sequence.

• The film won the Grand Chameleon Award at the 2005 Brooklyn International Film Festival.

• It later received three awards at the 2007 Annonay International Festival of First Films: the Grand Jury Prize, the Jury Lyceens Prize, and Best Music.
