Synopsis

Born in a prison cell and orphaned after her mother's execution, Moll Flanders grows up under harsh religious discipline before escaping into 18th-century London. Forced into prostitution, she survives exploitation and violence while searching for dignity and love. Her relationship with an impoverished artist offers hope, but loss, separation, and betrayal send Moll on another dangerous struggle for freedom and her daughter.

• The film is only loosely connected to Daniel Defoe's 1722 novel. Its opening credits describe it as being inspired by the character from the book rather than presenting a direct adaptation.
