Synopsis

Two corporate employees, bitter over their romantic failures, devise a cruel scheme to court the same woman and abandon her simultaneously. They target Christine, a deaf co-worker whose insecurity makes her especially vulnerable to their manipulation. As the plan unfolds, their differing motives and personalities expose the power games, resentment, and hostility beneath their polished professional appearances.

• The film originated as a stage play that premiered at Brigham Young University in December 1992. The play later received a 1993 Drama AML Award from the Association for Mormon Letters.

• It was filmed in Fort Wayne, Indiana, from June 27 through July 14, 1996. Locations included the Fort Wayne International Airport, Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne, and the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo.

• Made on an approximately $250,000 budget, the film eventually earned about $2.8 million in theaters.

• The film was selected for the Dramatic competition at the 1997 Sundance Film Festival and later screened in the Un Certain Regard section at the 1997 Cannes Film Festival.
