Synopsis

In a small Italian village, restaurateur Marcello learns that his terminally ill wife, Roseanna, wants to be buried beside their late daughter. With only three cemetery plots remaining, Marcello begins helping local residents stay alive long enough to preserve one for Roseanna. His frantic plan becomes increasingly complicated as personal conflicts, village rivalries, and Roseanna's concern for Marcello's future emerge.
