Synopsis

After the collapse of her marriage, dentist Rachel Clifford takes an assignment at a British prison. There she becomes involved with Philip Chaney, a violent inmate serving a lengthy sentence for murder. Their guarded connection develops into a secret affair, forcing Rachel to confront professional boundaries, personal loneliness, and the dangerous consequences of intimacy between a prison employee and a convict.
