Synopsis

After discovering that his fiancee has left him for another man, astronomer Sam follows the couple to New York. There, he joins forces with Maggie, the other man's former partner. Hiding in an abandoned apartment across from their exes, the two plot increasingly elaborate acts of revenge, only to find that jealousy and obsession may be disguising more complicated feelings.

• Although much of the story is set in Greenwich Village, filming also took place in Centreville, Delaware, Swarthmore, Pennsylvania, and several Manhattan locations, including Washington Square Park and Raoul's restaurant.

• Principal photography ran from September 12 through November 25, 1996.

• The title refers to Robert Palmer's 1985 hit song "Addicted to Love." The film uses a version performed by Neneh Cherry rather than Palmer's original recording.
