Factoids & Trivia
- Two versions of the video were produced. The original Australian version presents Savage Garden in a white room, with Hayes singing from a red sofa and Jones playing piano. The international version moved the action to Paris and gave the song a more cinematic storyline.
- The international video uses recognizable Paris locations including Gare de l'Est, the Place de la Concorde, the Jardin des Tuileries, Montmartre, and the Tour Saint-Jacques.
- Hayes appears with short hair in the international version, while the Australian video captures him with the longer hairstyle associated with the group's earliest period.
- The song was originally developed from a composition called "Magical Kisses." Despite the label's reservations about releasing such a sentimental ballad, it became one of Savage Garden's defining songs and won both Single of the Year and Highest Selling Single at the 1997 ARIA Awards.
- The international video was included on several Savage Garden video compilations, helping make the Paris version the one most widely seen outside Australia.
