Synopsis

The music video for Lost Boyz' "Music Makes Me High" turns the song into a carefree summer celebration. The group performs alongside Tha Dogg Pound and Canibus as the action unfolds around a lively pool party, with guests, dancing, and a relaxed outdoor atmosphere. Its bright, social setting matches the track's celebratory theme and presents the performers as part of a large hip-hop gathering rather than placing them in a narrative storyline.

Factoids & Trivia

• "Music Makes Me High" was released as the fourth single from Lost Boyz' debut album, *Legal Drug Money*, in 1996.

• The video uses the official remix, produced by L.T. Hutton, rather than the original album version. The remix adds Tha Dogg Pound and Canibus to the lineup.

• The appearance marked one of Canibus' first official high-profile recordings. At the time, he was still an emerging rapper.

• The single became one of the Lost Boyz' strongest chart performers, reaching No. 51 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 5 on the Hot Rap Singles chart.

• The pool-party concept helped connect the Queens group with the West Coast presence of Tha Dogg Pound, giving the video a distinctly cross-coast hip-hop feel.
