Synopsis

Liza Minnelli performs in a stylized, theatrical setting built around a long walkway and a surreal Christmas landscape. As she sings about emotional conflict and the destructive fallout of a troubled relationship, a male character appears as her romantic counterpart. The video shifts between Minnelli's performance and scenes involving the couple, giving the song a dramatic, slightly camp presentation rather than a conventional dance-pop approach. Its visual language also includes a playful nod to the classic Hollywood romance of "Casablanca."

Factoids & Trivia

  • "Don't Drop Bombs" was the second single from Minnelli's 1989 album "Results," her collaboration with the Pet Shop Boys.
