Actually, the freaky blue thing is one of the many spirits that live inside Russ, they guide his beat. Anyway, back to Feel Good Inc. This video is one of the best Gorillaz videos I've seen, DARE was good too. All of you have voiced my opinion so rock the hell on, guys. And never say the Gorillaz suck, 'cause I will hunt you down and eat you. Mmmmmm...Tasty(Eew). Gorillaz rule, 2-D is the bomb, good-bye.

gorillaz started in 2000. when they performed at the music awards in 2001 did they perform on a screen or did david albarn come out. demon days is a good albumn dare shouldnt have been released before last living souls or dirty harry. plus whats da new single i think it'll b one of the spin offs from dares single.

This video was how I was introduced to the Gorillaz. After I watched it again, I became obsessed with the Gorillaz and the rest of their music, which is extremely awesome.

There's a lot of things I like about this video (and im so glad its been nominated for 2 VMAs-- i hope it wins!) I love 2D and how sad and tortured he looks. I think you guys might be right about the windmill being a memory that hes trying to repress.

I never see Noodle in the video except on the chunk o' windmill land. I like it cause shes the happiest member and shes where she should be- on the happy windmill-land-area-unit.

Russel is just drumming away the whole video. BUT NOT MURDOC.
Hes surrounded by 50 girls at all times, which is kind of gross but it totally portrays his character.

My favorite part is when 2D is dancing in front of De La Soul. That boy can move! I Love 2D, Murdoc, Russel and Noodle. They just work so well together, in a creepy way, but nevertheless, in a good creepy way.

I love the Gorillaz, they're awesome!

Thats not noodle on the island, Ashley. and if it was they wouldnt want her in there. its 2D when he is younger. im going with tess on this one guessing that its a memory. Russ seems to not have any feeling at all and even tho Murdoc has all the women he doesnt seen too happy even tho he never does anyway. D-2 seems very depressed.

Woah. That was like, really...Really...Emotional. Wow. Uhm, Wow. Okay, Review review review...

Well, Let me just say...This is one of those videos that conveys ALOT of feelings. (Which I love.)

Let me explain the best I can explain without going off on a weird thought...

I think I hear a gunshot pellet fall to the ground or something in the very first beginning..I dunno...Well, you raise up, and there are all this helicopters swarming around. I dunno what thats about...

Okay, so we have this dark, loud, club. That smells of beer. I think all of the members were having some strange emotion hanging over their heads. Mostly 2-D. Poor thing!

And in the corner, is cute lil 2-D sitting in a chair- complete with blood shot eyes, and starts singing. In this weird voice thing. Hey, don't get me wrong, 2-D's voice is like an angel. So, he gets up and starts talking through some bullhorn thing, possibly to get his fellow band member's attention.

We're missing Noodle, whom, we can still hear playing a lovely- what seems kinda like an accustic guitar in the background. I'm glad they didn't put her in this nasty club. She just wouldn't fit. Too cute.

Theres Russell who is just playing the drums. He's really quiet. He doesn't even look up. Again, his face holds some emotion...A strange, sad, blank emotion. I think hes just there to be there, not to make a satement- unlike Murdoc- Hes just there to be there. Doin' his own thing. Very nice.

And of course, Murdoc is chillin' with a whole bunch of lovely ladies lolling over him. Lucky, lucky Murdoc. Did you see him get up with out even moving his knees? He was like, a stiff as a freakin' board, and he just stood up! That guys friggin' awesome...Heh. Sorry. But, even with beautiful women gawfing all around him, he holds a blank, almost eerie expression- along with 2-D and Russell. Anyway, He backs up the whole song with a fantastic, bad ass, bass line. You hear that? Its friggin' awesome! I'd be shakin' my booty too! Whooohoo Murdoc!

Ahem.

I agree with everyone, 2-D seems to be having some kind of image forming in his cute lil head. I don't think hes having a thought, persay, but maybe a memory?

You see a boy sitting at the end of what seems to be a chunk of land- complete with a windmill. Hes playing a guitar, and is surrounded with little butterflies dancing around him- and a comforting sun in the background. Pure joy, eh? The boy, to me, looks like a little 2-D; which makes me think he's having a pleasent memory of the sort.

You see the chunk of land, or memory, move towards the foresaken club, in happiness, where the club is clouded with negative dark clouds.

Sadly, 2-D can't reach the happy memory, and it fades away- being thrown back to the dark club, caught in a mess of awesome rapping music.

Poor 2-D. He looks so confused, being thrown and warped around like that. And originally, when I just heard the song and not the video, I thought the rapping would be coming from Del or someone, but the rappers were on the screen, surprisingly. I think thats a nice touch, to see someones real face for once.

Anyways, you see 2-D being warped and thrown about in the mists of the club. Poor thing. You even see him nervously bouncing his fingers against each other. Awww. Sad!

Well, back to the happy memory again. You see the little boy again, and this time I think I see him singing along with 2-D. Maybe thats a memeory of him as a little boy, making his own songs..Playing with his guitar...How cute!

Well, you see it fade away. The helicopters come back, and he comes back. To be greeted by Murdoc. Eh. Hey.

It seems as though, its like Yin and Yang. 2-Ds in this dark, hole of a club, and a nice memory comes. Like the dark side with a dot of goodness in it. But, even thought the memory is good- its riddled with helicopters buzzing around- as the white side with a black dot in it. It just goes to show you, theres a little good in evil, and a little evil in good.

Well, its 1:00 am and I'm going to go watch Paranoia Agent and its weird theme song. Hope you like my review! You haven't seen the last of me...Heh.

When I first viewed feel good inc. I became obsessed with Gorillaz. I had to know every thing about them. The animation is amazing and the music is hypnotizing. I can't get enough Gorillaz, My all time favorite and the best band ever.

This was very good. I like the speech that 2D gives out in the beginning because it describes his surroundings. And cybernaut is right, I think it was 2D's first real thought in a while, becaus usually Murdoc is controlling everything.

every person in this band reminds me a little of myself and thats why i like them.

and 2-D especially.

I can�t remember the last time a saw a music video open with such a dark and dreary scene. The club where we see 2d appear looks like the bastard prodigy of Dante�s Inferno and the after-effects of one of Caligula�s orgies.

I have to admit, I was rather impressed.

The singing of 2d, seemed to convey notes of exhaustion, misery and hopelessness. This was a man who was living a lie and wanted to escape, but didn�t know how.

Murdoc, however, was in his element, coiled among the snakelike limbs of beautiful nubile women, but you could sense that even he was a little jaded. Russell seemed to be shutting out everything but the beat. He was a rhythmic machine, hell-bent to his task. Not once did he look up or even acknowledge his band-mates. He was in a moment, filling in the gaps where the base paused and the empty tonal space give a pregnant meaning all it�s own.

Noodle was absent for the moment, but you could sense her presence in the acoustic guitar that played in the background. Somehow she was speaking to us, the cheerful, almost Spanish notes made the deep almost menacing base seem even more sinister, but then, Murdoc was playing, and he never meant anyone any good.

The song tied together though, and just when you thought they had given us all they had to give came De La Soul to smack us in the face with rhymes that told us straight faced that they where there to draw you in and direct you where they pleased, even if you didn�t want to go there willingly.

This was a ride, navigated by a madam who was trying to scare even himself, and I think he might have succeeded.

2D stood in the center of it all, frightened by what must have been his first lucid thought in some time. It was an emotional hangover he was experiencing, and he was giving it a voice while his teammates gave it a beat.

When Noodle appears on the scene it showed 2D just what he was missing. It was close enough to see and hear, but too far for him to reach.

In the end, 2D seems to give into his fate. The curtain closes, and we wonder what the next chapter in this lurid musical story will be.

As a note: I personally think the Gorillaz story could make a great animated movie. An animated series would be a bad idea� but a movie would be just great. You can guarantee that people would go see it, and the band could things as far as they needed to.

I know I would slap down my hard earned cash to see what they could show me if they were given the chance.

I hope we have these primate musicians around for a while.
