The song is certainly one of Adams' best. It exemplifies a rare sincerity in his voice and lyrics not seen since the early days of his career. It is quite possibly the most sincere thing he has ever written. The video itself is somewhat confusing, and somewhat reflects the movie it was written for. I do not think that the song goes very well with "Spirit: Stallion of the Cimmaron", as it is a horse movie about the old west. Pop music in this movie is simply intrusive. But as a song itself, it is clearly one of the most underrated Adams songs ever written, possibly the most underrated song of 2002.
