Apple iPod Love Train Commercial

Apple is trying a new twist with their now famous "Silhouettes"-Campaing.1

Running since May 2006, the spot which rivals a lava-lamp experience, is still the current ad featured by Apple on their official iPod Campaign Homepage.

The 30-second spot titled "Seventy" uses the song "Love Train" by Wolfmother. 2 The Australian Heavy Metal outfit will surely be propelled to stardom after this stint into the ad world. Read more about them here and here.

Regarding the ad, Apple's advertisers decided to change the background-colour style a bit. Over the past months we've already seen that Apple is gradually opening the strict Silhoutte-style for new ideas. The U2 ads had more highlights to let the bands physical features come out a bit more so the average watcher did recognise it was actually U2 playing. Now, on this advert, the monocromatic backgrounds are gone and a 70s psychedelic lava-lamp texture fills the space, matching music and tone of the commercial.

For those of you who found this thread to read the lyrics: "What did you see girl on the love train What did you see girl on the love train Got to get back girl on the love train Said I gotta get back girl on the love train

I saw different faces in different places Gotta get back girl on the love train

I saw different faces in different places Gotta get back girl on the love train

What did you see girl on the love train She had golden lockets with no name Telling me all things are the same Said I gotta get back girl on the love train

I saw different faces in different places Gotta get back girl on the love train

I saw different faces in different places Gotta get back girl on the love train

Love, love, love"
