Blogs are the new breed of internet pages and a new mode of publication for thousands of individuals across the globe. The development of tools and web-applications that made publishing, commenting and discussion easy started a revolution on the internet.

Blogs and blogging made the internet a fresher and more personal space. This development was propelled by a set of new and useful tools created or used by the blogging community. RSS news syndication, trackbacks and instant publishing - all new and successfully bundled under the banner of blogs.

Here at Clipland we embrace new developments. We work hard to add more and more interactive features to our pages. We started to publish RSS feeds of parts of our content and now we enabled a Trackback feature on our review pages.

RSS Feeds
RSS is a simple syndication protocol. You can easily add breaking new content from Clipland to your RSS News Aggregator software or embed it into your blog or homepage.

Trackback/PingBack
A Trackback enables you to comment on one of Clipland's database entries on your pages. When you click the button on your blog software (like MovableType or TypePad) to publish your new post your server will contact our server to leave a note about your posting on our pages. All you need is to include the Trackback URL with your posting. Some blog platforms like the above will discover this link automatically on our pages if you include the URL of the database entry.

Multimedia for your pages
Recently we introduced a new feature on our Still Image and Video pages:

Still images, excerpts from Commercials, Shorts or Music Videos, can dramatically enrich your site and help your readers to visualize what you are talking about. In order to enable you to copy-and-past images from our vast archive and easily integrate them into your site we added a special textfield with all the required code on each of our Still Image pages. You are free to use our images on your site as long as the copyright information remains intact and it is deep-linked to our server.

The same with our Videos. Although multimedia content embedded in pages is known to break from time to time, we decided to enable this feature for videos as well. The videos presented on Clipland are freely available on the internet. You helped us discover them. Now we share them with you! Use the textboxes on our Video pages, copy-and-past the code and have video streaming from the original source on your site in minutes!
