Ten years later and I'm writing a review. Shudder To Think managed to capture on tape what every musician and band thinks. It's that nanosecond of inspiration you hear in your head, but escapes during the transfer to chords or paper. Think of every Creed song and you'll know what I mean. Shudder's mix of music is deceptively innocent, emotional, eerie and enchanting. Christ, that just sounded like a wine tasting review! Notable for sounding nothing like the Seattle invasion of the mid 90s - Shudder To Think proved that great chemistry among band members can produce a unique category of rock music that the industy could never define. Xfrench Tee Shirt is the NYC shotgun wedding of audio arranged to video. It's the first video where "glam" met "rock" and I didn't feel that my sexuality was in jeopardy. No one could have pulled this marriage off the way that Pedro did....well maybe Chris Cunningham...but I say that only because I like wet robots! Anyway, if you have the opportunity to absorb Xfrench Tee Shirt all at once, please do so. You'll find yourself paying equal attention to the song as well as the visuals....kinda like porn. peace!
