Synopsis

Kelis begins in a confessional-style setting, addressing women who have been deceived by their partners. As her anger builds, the video shifts into a vivid, surreal revenge fantasy: she confronts her unfaithful boyfriend, tears apart his living room, and turns his hospital stay into another target for her fury. Sporting a huge multicolored afro and increasingly theatrical outfits, Kelis eventually takes her rage outdoors, leading a group of women through the streets in a noisy protest against dishonest men.

• "Caught Out There" is widely identified by its shouted refrain, "I hate you so much right now," even though that phrase is not the song's official title.
