Synopsis

Set in Arizona's Painted Desert, the video turns a breakup into an act of liberation. Kathy Mattea confronts an indifferent boyfriend inside a mobile trailer before taking control of the situation, setting the trailer ablaze and driving away with his car and possessions. After discovering him hiding in the trunk, she ties him up and leaves him behind. Performance shots of Mattea singing beside the car reinforce the song's theme of reclaiming pride and independence.
