Synopsis

Edwin McCain moves through a bustling city that looks as though it has been transformed into a 19th-century village. As he walks and rides in a taxi, townspeople in period clothing go about their routines while several figures gather around a large park tree. The journey builds toward a sudden act of romance and rescue: when a branch breaks beneath a woman, McCain reaches her in time to catch her fall.

• The video was made for McCain's 1999 recording of "I Could Not Ask For More," which appeared on the soundtrack to the romantic drama *Message in a Bottle* and was later included on his album *Messenger*.

• The song was written by Diane Warren, making it one of only two tracks on *Messenger* not written by McCain. Matt Serletic produced the recording.
