Factoids & Trivia

• "Lejos Estoy" first appeared on *Dos minutos de advertencia*, the band's fourth album. The record was recorded in Buenos Aires during December 1998 and January 1999 and released in 1999.

• The song was later included in performance footage from the band's *En Vivo En El Teatro* DVD, issued in 2007. It has remained part of 2 Minutos' live repertoire.

• In an interview about the later remake, singer Walter "Mosca" Velazquez said he wrote the song with a Colombian girl in mind. He also described it as one of the band's most time-consuming songs to complete, taking roughly three months.

• Velazquez explained that he does not write conventional musical notation. Instead, he developed a personal system of guitar diagrams, which he jokingly referred to as the "Mosca cipher."

• For the band's 35th-anniversary project, "Lejos Estoy" was re-recorded with Ciro Pertusi, formerly of Attaque 77 and later associated with Jauria. The new version was released as a single on September 19, 2023.
