J Mascis and bassist Mike Johnson turn Manhattan into an improvised golf course, driving an EZ-Go cart through the city and taking swings wherever they find room. Their casual game quickly becomes increasingly reckless, involving traffic, pedestrians, and bursts of senseless violence. The deadpan performance matches the song's detached mood, while the urban setting gives the video a surreal, comic edge. The golfers eventually reach a skyscraper rooftop, where the city becomes the final backdrop for their bizarre match.
