Synopsis

Cameo are introduced as fugitives holed up in a building, with LeVar Burton playing the detective trying to bring them in. The pursuit soon gives way to a stylized nightclub performance, where Larry Blackmon and the band deliver the song amid dancers, vivid lighting, and exaggerated 1980s fashion. The cops are eventually drawn into the music and join the celebration, allowing Cameo to slip away. The playful storyline turns the song's streetwise "code word" into a loose, surreal excuse for dancing and escape.

• LeVar Burton appears as the police detective. The video was released in 1986, before Burton became widely known as Geordi La Forge on *Star Trek: The Next Generation*, which premiered in September 1987.

• Burton's role gives the clip a miniature cop-and-robbers framework, but the premise is deliberately abandoned once the performance begins. The police are absorbed by the dance floor rather than completing the arrest.
