It was only a few years previous to the release of this video that the image of dance music had become so characactured and over the top, that many had begun to write off the genre as a passing phase. How nice it was see bands like Orbital regain respect for electronic music by making darkly riveting music like The Box (1996), accompanied by a truly sinister video that gained a Britpop nomination.
Filmed using backward motion and time lapse photography, the video traces a spooky looking Tilda Swinton stuttering through dark urban landscapes. It was shown frequently on MTV's 120 minutes alternative slot and helped gain Orbital a slot on the Lollapalooza tour in America.
