This is an AWESOME video and song. The video is like a mini movie, playing against what Madonna is singing. This is one of her best videos, and sadly, it was/is on eof her overlooked videos. This is one of the few Madonna songs and videos were she shows a rare emotion; sadness/despair. She pulls it off so well that the listener/watcher can't help but feel sadness towards the character that madonna plays. Christopher Walken plays Madonna's "angel" in the video, but sadly, even her angel cannot save her from her untimely end. Madonna seems to be in a relationship that she knows is unraveling, but still loves her partner, even though they are heading in opposite directions in life. In order to cope with this failing relationship, she does what she thinks will make her happy, which is getting drunk, smoking way too much, and taking on new lovers which turn out to be one night stands. While at the moment these things are distracting her from her own failing relatinship, afterwards she realizes that these things only make her more unhappy, but she keeps doing them over and over again. No matter what she does, she cannot run away from the sadness that she feels, and a one night stand turns out to be a killer, and Madonna's character ends up another one of his victims. But, like Maadonna usually does, she has a twist in the video. At the end of the video, after she is killed, she is floating up to heaven with Christopher Walken, and an image of Madonna appears over the screen in which she appears to be peacefuly sleeping. This is supposed to symbolize that Madonna is finally happy, but sadly, she had to die in order for this to happen. This is one of the most Beautiful Videos ever made by anyone. As I said before, Madonna shows a rare emotional side of herself which is sadness/despair, and she pulls it off beautifully.
