| Full Story | In July of 1187, almost a century after it was established, the Crusader Kingdom of Jerusalem is in turmoil. Having lost decisive battles to the Muslim forces, the survivors struggle to find their way back to Christian towns. One such Christian soldier, in his search for clean drinking water, has enough fight left in him to take a Muslim soldier hostage. This forces an uneasy truce as they make their way through the desert. Nice photography, well-worn armor, and good acting all work to propel this microcosm of political distrust forward. |
