I only knew you for a while

I never saw your smile

til it was time to go

Time to go away (time to go away)

Sometimes its hard to recognise

Love comes as a surprise

And its too late

Its just too late to stay

Too late to stay

We`ll always be together

However far it seems

(love never ends)

We`ll always be together

Together in electric dreams

Because the friendship that you gave

Has taught me to be brave

No matter where I go i`ll never find a better prize

(find a better prize)

Though youre miles and miles away

I see you every day I dont have to try

I just close my eyes, I close my eyes

Well always be together

However far it seems

(love never ends)

Well always be together

Together in electric dreams

This video might not be a masterpiece, but viewed from a today's perspective, it seems like a time-capsule from the 80ties. It's all there: the spandex aerobic girls, beach scenes and bad haircuts (some say Phil Oakeys haircut in this video is the worst hair-do of the 80s). And who would've thought back then, when the song performed mediocre in the charts, let alone the accompanying film flopped at the box office, that this one would become such a solid 80s hit? <BR>One more thing: there is a certain visual relationship to <a href="http://www.clipland.com/Summary/500000264/">Unilever's Langnese commercial "Ice in the sunshine"</a> which came two years later.
