Synopsis

Shawn Mullins performs on a city sidewalk as a troubled young woman moves through the night alone. She drives to a bar, where Mullins and his band are playing, while the video follows her detached, melancholy mood. The story gradually links the singer's street-side performance with the woman's search for comfort and escape. Dominique Swain plays the central character, giving the clip a cinematic focus that reflects the song's portrait of a wealthy but unhappy young woman seeking something more genuine.
