I'll be damned if someone didnt do this to an antique WACO biplane and its even a G.E. jet engine to boot. Wonder if the commercial had any inspiration for this or vice versa. http://www.franklinairshow.com/jetstats.htm

Best commercial ever made IMO! I couldnt put my review into better words than Fred
Robel's so refer back to his for mine.
Here is a link to the actual commercial I found after hours of searching. Enjoy!

This commercial spoke to me in a very real way. I think this ad is innovative, creative, and is so in such a way as to speak to individuals who work in the aerospace industry, and those who do not. The background song, sung by Johnny Cash, "Come take a trip on my airship....", really tugged my hearstrings as he had recently died. I guess I won't be able to put my feelings into words. Every time I get to see it, I stop everything to watch it. And every time I smile, and get tears in my eyes. I guess it speaks to me on a level others may not get.

Just remember that to an aviation freak, the "Wright flight" was one of the most important events *ever*, and an actual film of it (only stills exist) would be tremendously moving stuff, like a film of the Nativity, maybe. So here are all these pictures from Kitt Hawk, scenes that you recognize from the stills, and they're *moving* and here's some *new* material, no, wait, that has *got* to be a re-enactment, no, there's no mistaking that, that's THE REAL MCCOY!! So you're fully into shock and awe mode when the camera pulls back a bit and -- GOTCHA -- you've been HAD, because there's this freaking turbofan on top of the wing! Of the WRIGHT FLYER! But before you can recover, this aeronautical impossibility takes OFF -- like an F-100 -- the jet wash knocking Wilbur arse over tip on the 1903 Kitty Hawk sand, while you emulate him on your 2003 carpet, rolling on the floor laughing, yawping, yelping, scaring the cat, all circuit breakers seriously blown, tears rolling down your face. This works so well, on so many levels -- emotional, historical, engineerical, humourical, to name a few -- that I can only say "Ten". I know, I'm a special audience for that sort of thing, but, yeh, definitely, ten.

"Come Take a Trip in My Air-Ship" from Cash's 1972 "America (A 200-Year
Salute in Story and Song)" album.

The thing I love about that commercial is the song! I would love to know who sings it. Sounds like Johnny Cash!

All i wanna know is where i can buy it.
